The
BuckVu hunting blind was designed and patented by Kelvin McKay, a
Cree hunter from the northern community of Cumberland House, Saskatchewan.
Kelvin was inspired to build his hunting blind after sitting for countless
hours in other blinds thinking, "I can do this better."
The design you see today is
the result of several prototypes and thorough safety testing.
"I
hunt to feed my family, so I can't take chances," says Kelvin.
"I designed BuckVu to get out quickly and take care of business."
But
it's not all work and no play for Kelvin and his family. In the spring,
the use the BuckVu to watch baby bears in the wild near Cumberland
House. "They come right under the stand and look up. They're
not alarmed and they don't know we're there. It's amazing!"
